Many musical theater enthusiasts have favorite shows they listen to on repeat, but they often do not have much exposure to a wide variety of musical types. This class will watch a different style of musical each session and discuss what makes these styles different from one another. These may include: golden age, book, operetta, rock, contemporary, jukebox, Disney, and concept musicals. We will watch pro shots or movie versions of musicals if possible and may occasionally watch a recorded version from a theater company if there is not a pro shot available.
