Roald Dahl’s Matilda JR. tells the story of Matilda Wormwood, an extraordinary, book-loving girl stuck with self-absorbed parents and sent to Crunchem Hall, a school ruled by the fearsome Headmistress Agatha Trunchbull. When Matilda discovers she has a mysterious power she can control with her mind, she begins to push back—first with clever pranks, then with a brave plan to set things right.
At school, Matilda finds kindness in her teacher, Miss Honey, whose gentle spirit hides a painful past connected to the Trunchbull. With the help of classmates like Lavender and Bruce, Matilda turns the tide from intimidation to imagination, confronting injustice in class, at home, and in Miss Honey’s life. Along the way, the show bursts with high-energy ensemble numbers, comic set pieces, and tender moments that celebrate reading, curiosity, and the courage to speak up.

As the deadline closes in, Worth Keeping becomes a gripping, emotional examination of what we owe each other, what we carry forward, and whether a person’s value can ever be measured like a skill set.
