AUDITION AGREEMENT
I/WE UNDERSTAND THAT:
1. If cast in this show there is non-refundable show fee paid online to accept your role.
Show Fees Currently are:
KIDS Shows $75
JR Shows $125
CFT has never turned away an actor for inability to pay show fees and regularly seeks out funds to assist your child to experience theater.
2. In accepting a role we are willing to commit to this as a priority in our schedule, attending all rehearsals and performances required with the exception of any listed on our conflict calendar.
3. We acknowledge that CFT’s casting decisions are final and agree to support a positive culture by not disputing casting with staff or engaging in negative casting talk, but rather, helping your young actor navigate disappointment with maturity and resilience. 4. Actors are only allowed 2 additional misses based on their original conflict schedule submitted with their audition form. (Being over 30 minutes late is considered a miss.) After two misses actors will be dropped from the show at the director’s discretion.
5. Parents/Guardians are required to volunteer in some capacity before, during, or after the production. I/we have selected an area of interest earlier in this form and agree to fulfill this volunteer commitment.
6. Cast members must come to rehearsals ready to work. This means: they will be on time, come with a positive attitude, wear comfortable clothing, proper footwear, and always bring their script, a pencil, and have worked on the show at home.
7. Every cast member is required to attend ALL rehearsals during tech week and with no or very limited misses the 2 weeks prior to tech week. Misses the final 3 weeks can severely impact the ability to cast an actor in the show.
8. All cast members & parents must attend the striking of the set & stage immediately following the final performance. ALL CFT Staging, lights, sound equipment, props etc must be returned to storage. Do not make plans after the final performance as we do not know how long strike will take. The Cast party for actors and family will follow strike.
