Our classes offer creative, hands-on arts and theater training for young actors at many experience levels. Classes build practical skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of theatrical arts. Some classes, workshops, and bootcamps are eligible for credit towards CFT’s Theater Foundations Certificate (TFC).

Theater Foundations Certificate (TFC)

Students ages 12-18 can build a strong foundation in theater training through CFT’s certificate program. To earn the certificate, students must complete Audition Prep 101 plus four TFC-eligible elective courses, allowing them to develop their skills through a variety of focused training opportunities. The certificate program replaces our Masterclass Essentials Class allowing students the flexibility to take courses at their own pace and begin the path to the troupe before committing to a year round program.

(Those completing the certificate program may join the CFT Acting Troupe at the beginning of the following school year.)

Dramatic Acting Troupe (DAT)

Advanced Training & Performance Program

The Dramatic Acting Troupe is an advanced training and performance program where experienced young actors receive focused training in dramatic acting, strengthen their craft, collaborate as an ensemble, and produce two dramatic straight plays each season. The Troupe meets twice weekly (TUE/THUR) during the school year. Troupe applications are accepted from young actors ages 14 and up who:

1) have earned a Theater Foundations Certificate
OR

2) apply through an audition process and skills test, provided they have participated in at least 2 CFT JR youth productions.

Once accepted into the troupe students can remain until graduation without needing to re-apply yearly.

NOTE: Second year troupe students are eligible to apply for a spot on the leadership team for a KIDS production.
